Vivien Chow & Kevin Cheng personally cooks for their sponsored children

Vivien Chow and Kevin Cheng visited the villages in northern Vietnam, Dien Bien on behalf of World Vision HK. They spent 4 days with the locals there and met up with their sponsored children. It was seen that the local children had a lack of nutritious meals, Vivien and Kevin especially fried eggs for the poor children for their lunch. They also visited the children boarding school and the kindergarden; they played games and drew pictures with the children.

Vivien had always shown her deep concern for the needs of poor children globally. First time visiting northern Vietnam, she agreed to sponsor a little girl named Tung Tung. Tung Tung's family is very much in poverty, her parents are divorced and her grandparents are busy trying to make a living, so they have no time to look after her. Also they are on a low supply of food, so often times Tung Tung does not get a full meal to eat. She said that she knows Tung Tung's story and it felt really heartbreaking, she hopes that she can become her second mother, providing more care for her so she can have a healthy growth. Vivien prepared a jacket, stationery, a book bag and a handful of hair ties as a greeting gift to Tung Tung.

Kevin Cheng has been with World Vision and been a children sponsor for several years, he felt that this visit is a rare opportunity. He was able to see his sponsored son Ah Ngai and daughter Ah Ming with his own eyes, understand their news for living and he brought a playing ball as a greeting gift for them. Kevin said that Ah Ngai is still young, he's very obedient and working hard in school to support his family, this moved Kevin deeply.
