Amigo Chui: ready to accept whatever circumstances may arise

Since his alleged assault on girlfriend Elizabete Kwong last year, all of Amigo Chui’s job responsibilities had been suspended and he had kept a relatively low profile -- until 4/26, when he returned to briefly host segments of the fundraising event "Artistes 414 Fundraising Campaign". Yesterday, Amigo took on the responsibility of hosting the press conference announcing the upcoming charity event "Voices for Africa Charity Concert". After the press conference, he publicly accepted an interview for the first time since the alleged assault incident.

Amigo said: “When I was hosting for the Fundraising show, I will admit that I was a bit nervous and shaky because I hadn’t worked in 4 to 5 months and all at once, had to face so many people. Today, the feeling is much better.” Regarding the rumors that Stephen Chan is planning to join a TV station in Taiwan, Amigo indicated that he was not aware: “We do get together a lot for dinner, but we only talk about personal stuff and never talk about work.” With Amigo having ‘zero job opportunities’ right now, is he worried about his financial situation? Amigo replied: “I have money saved up and not a whole lot of expenses, so it shouldn’t be a problem for now.”

Amigo expressed that his next court date is set for May 18th and at that time, the results should be determined. He says that after the situation is over, he will start his life anew. (Earlier, TVB fired several ‘Stephen Chan Party’ members – as his ‘favorite’, are you afraid of TVB firing you as well?) Amigo replied: “I’m ready to accept whatever circumstances that may arise; as of right now, I’m still a TVB employee and am still contracted with them.
